On February 10, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza San José La Sabana, the Blockchain Association of Costa Rica (Asoblockchain) took part in FINNOVA 2026, a dialogue forum organized by SUGEVAL to explore the future of financial innovation and examine the latest developments in the FinTech ecosystem, digital payments, and the evolution of financial services across the region.

FINNOVA 2026 brought together key stakeholders from the financial system: regulators, technology companies, and industry experts to discuss the changes reshaping the sector.

Topics addressed during the event included: innovation, competition and collaboration in the financial system; digital payments; open finance; tokenization; artificial intelligence and blockchain. Asoblockchain members participated as speakers, sharing insights on how AI and blockchain can be leveraged to increase traceability, efficiency, and trust in financial processes, including transaction monitoring and real-time information verification. Digital payments were also a key focus, highlighting emerging trends and the impact of digitalization on merchants, consumers, and financial institutions.
