CryptoCantina: Tips for Startups & Expert Advice for Success
August 29, 2023

Starting a startup in the fast-paced world of blockchain technology can be both exhilarating and challenging. The CryptoCantina, organized by Blockchain Asociacion Costa Rica (AsoBlockchain), is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs on their journey towards success. During a recent event held on August 29, 2023, Luis Cajiao, the CriptoCantina Ambassador and Member of the Education Committee, facilitated an opportunity for participants to share their startup ideas and receive valuable advice from experts.

The Dynamics of the Event

The event aimed to promote idea exchange and support budding entrepreneurs through three powerful techniques: the feedforward approach, expert panels, and the “Six Thinking Hats” method. Participants were encouraged to share their ideas and seek advice from experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals. The “Six Thinking Hats” method involved assigning different thinking roles to participants, allowing for diverse perspectives and insights. The main point was to create an inclusive and supportive environment for collaboration and growth.

Key Ideas and Projects Explored

During the event, three startup ideas were presented, each addressing unique challenges and opportunities in the blockchain industry.

Moisés Torres presented an innovative idea focused on revolutionizing trading and funding in the blockchain space. The expert panelists provided valuable insights on streamlining processes and leveraging data to optimize trading strategies. They emphasized the importance of staying updated with market trends and exploring partnerships to enhance funding opportunities.

Adam pitched an idea for an anonymous social network built on the blockchain. The experts highlighted the potential impact such a platform could have on privacy and freedom of expression. They advised Adam  to focus on building a strong community and implementing robust security measures to ensure user anonymity and data protection.

Luis Cajiao presented a referral loyalty program aimed at incentivizing customer engagement and driving growth for businesses in the blockchain industry. The expert panelists emphasized the importance of designing a user-friendly platform and leveraging blockchain technology to ensure transparency and security. They also recommended exploring strategic partnerships with established companies to maximize the program’s reach.
