The Association Blockchain Costa Rica (AsoBlockchain) is delighted to announce the resounding success of its annual event, TicoBlockchain, held on November 23, 2023, at the Santa Ana Country Club (SACC). This remarkable gathering featured a main stage and a variety of enlightening workshops, where experts thoroughly examined topics related to Regulations, Cybersecurity, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and blockchain solutions, including asset tokenization.
The event commenced with opening remarks from AsoBlockchain President Federico Zamora, highlighting the notable growth of Asoblockchain. Following this, Edgar Fernández, the co-founder of Edenia and an active member of the Association, shared invaluable insights into the historical milestones of blockchain technology in Costa Rica, showcasing successful implementations of blockchain projects within the country.
Dr. David Chalk from Canada, a pragmatic futurist with 25 years of experience in innovation, took center stage in one of the conference’s highlights, leading a dynamic panel discussion alongside Lic. José Miguel Zamora and Dr. Nicolas Sulima. Together, they explored the profound impact of AI on blockchain and its transformative potential for businesses, while also addressing the advantages and associated concerns.
Sandra Rechnitzer presented a crucial topic, emphasizing the significance of a cybersecurity strategy for businesses, while Ranulfo Pavia offered perspectives into AI and web3 applications.
The regulatory framework panel brought together experts Lic. José Miguel Zamora, Alejandro Muñoz, Claudia Hernández, and Leiner Vargas, shedding light on the evolving regulatory landscape.
The conference concluded with closing remarks from Marcial Chaverri, a representative from Procomer Costa Rica, who delved into the topics of sandbox initiatives, green funds, and development opportunities.
